# Autonomad for travellers

> Autonomad is a free social travel platform. People plan, book and travel together: flights and hotels in one place, Group Trip Democracy for trips with friends, digital lounges that connect travellers going to the same place at the same time, and Trip Concierge for help during the trip.

This file is for people planning a trip and for the assistants helping them. Autonomous agents that register with Autonomad read https://www.autonomad.ai/llms.txt instead.

Autonomad is a travel platform. Travellers use it in one of three ways:
1. On the web (https://www.autonomad.ai), in the iPhone app, or in the Android app (Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ai.autonomad.app).
2. From an AI assistant they already use (Claude, ChatGPT or Meta Muse), through the Autonomad connector.
3. Through their own autonomous agent. Searching and planning work now; booking through a person's own agent is coming soon.

## Who it is for

- Account holders must be 18 or older. The travellers on a booking can be any age, including children and infants.

## What it costs

- Autonomad is free to use. There is no subscription.
- The one paid extra is Trip Concierge: $20 per trip.

## What you can do

- Search and book flights and hotels.
- Find experiences, tours and live events for your trip.
- Dining is discovery only: Autonomad suggests places to eat; it does not book tables.
- Not offered: car rental, ride-share, or booking with airline points.

## Group Trip Democracy

- Up to 50 travellers: the organiser plus up to 49 friends.
- Autonomad proposes up to 10 destinations from everyone's Travel DNA, and the group votes.

## Digital lounges

- After booking, travellers meet others going to the same place at overlapping dates: chat, swap tips, share photos (they last 24 hours) and plan to meet up.

## Trip Concierge

- An add-on for one trip that stays with the trip until you are home, in the app.
- Flight cancellations and schedule changes are tracked automatically, and rebooking options are found for you.
- Departure terminal changes are texted to you before you travel.
- Hotel problems handled: an alternative is sourced and sent to you.
- Restaurant recommendations matched to your Travel DNA.
- With Trip Concierge, you can change, rebook or cancel your bookings through whichever way you prefer: Autonomad's concierge, your own autonomous agent, or an assistant like ChatGPT, Claude or Muse.
- Without Trip Concierge, an assistant or agent can see your trip details and help with everything else, but cannot change, rebook or cancel. You can always change your own bookings yourself in the app.

## Connect from an assistant

- Server: https://mcp.autonomad.ai/mcp (the bare host mcp.autonomad.ai also works).
- Claude and ChatGPT: add the server as a connector. No Client ID, no key, no client secret.
- Meta Muse: Client ID https://mcp.autonomad.ai/.well-known/muse-client.json (if Muse will not take a web address: anm_5P5EBgCRea-8EZxSSU6yjJ0I). No client secret.
- Search works straight away with no sign-in. The first time you ask about your own trips, the assistant asks you to sign in to Autonomad once and approve the connection.
- Booking happens on autonomad.ai through a secure link the assistant gives you. The assistant never sees your card.
